Epic Nostalgic catch, I remember those P72 cars

Lowkey sometimes I’ll ride out of Harlem-125 Street and casually see the trash train. I just wonder cluelessly why it sits on the curve over water. It’s also weird how there’s just street and sidewalk level next to a water level track. I could only see cars because freight is as long as three Walmart super centers, but I hope to see an actual CSX Engine in person. It’s nice to see still some YN2 Schemes.

These were some of the best trains WMATA ever ordered. They were extremely reliable, even as they were so old. They should have gave them a quick refurbishment, & they would be better than the older equipment today. Also, a lower hazard of de-railing.

I used to live in Jersey City, I miss that light rail my mom and my brother and I used to ride this thing all of the time!

This station’s platform looks too narrow for an elevator to be installed but maybe it can be done by removing the southbound track, building more platform over it and using the third track as the new southbound track to make room for an elevator.

I pray to God that the MTA will do the Red Target 🎯 wrap on the R62AS 6 Pelham line like they did the R142A six Pelham line before all the R142As went to the 7 and the Jerome Ave 4 line for CBTCS.

Interesting meet between NJT/Metro North. Why did they discontinue this service?? Also, Metro North has Comet Vs for WOH service that can show up anywhere on NJTs Hoboken division, but it would’ve made sense to use those on these trains since this was on the Metro North New Haven line. They could’ve used the Metro North Comet V trailers and cab cars for this service.
